Vinita Shrivastava
Vinita, Founder and CEO of Amrapaali Kalapeeth, was born and brought up in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. A versatile and dedicated dancer, she began learning Kathak at the age of three under the guidance of Guru Shankar Bhattacharya, an eminent Kathak exponent from Kolkata. She has completed the Praveen degree in Kathak from the Lucknow Gharana, along with eight years of Kathak training from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. Additionally, she holds a Senior Diploma in Vocal Music and has also trained in Bollywood and Western dance at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon.
Vinita has performed widely across India in cities such as Cuttack, Varanasi, Kolkata, Shimla, and Jaipur. She has received recognition at the India Theatre Olympiad and won many All India Classical and Folk Dance Competitions. Known for her strong rhythmic sense and expressive grace, she has been honored by cultural organizations and dignitaries including Sharmistha Mukherjee. She is skilled not only in Kathak but also in folk and Bollywood dance forms.
